AI is tireless, it can do as many generations as you want it to without ever needing to demand weeks and months inbetween works. AI doesn't discriminate, it just does whatever people tell it to, so it can't be swayed to withhold things from specific people. AI cannot be bribed, threatened, cajoled, or dared, it just silently toils away until the task is complete. We could all learn a thing or two from AI.

Hi my name is Wayne! I make AI art with Stable Diffusion, DALLE and Midjourney. I have been on Deviantart since it's inception and have seen styles change and go. Technology has changed over the years but the concepts have not.

I used to be able to draw very well but find it very difficult to do now. For that reason I abandoned this profile for years and thought I would never do art again. I am ecstatic that AI art has allowed me to express myself in a way that I could not before. Nothing but respect and love for traditional artists but AI is my future.

Why do you do art? As an AI artist, my purpose is twofold. 1. I do art for myself so I really don't care if it's traditional or AI. 2. I want to push the boundaries of creativity within the realms of art, I find that with AI I can transcend any limitations and easily experiment with different models, techniques, styles and color schemes. In essence, I create art because it is an inherent part of me, driving me to explore the depths of creativity and touch the souls of those who encounter my work. I am motivated by the possibility of sparking inspiration, contemplation, and joy in the hearts of individuals, for it is through AI art that humanity can truly thrive and evolve.

AI Art Is Not Theft, You Just Don't Understand It.

Most people fundamentally don't understand how AI art generators actually work. They absorb 'AI art is theft and wrong' from vocal critics and don't actually look into the technology - this is true even of the artists themselves. An AI art generator does not just have a database of every artwork it's seen during training and then mashes them together in a collage. The uninformed see it as some sort of library where artworks are lifted wholesale and kitbashed into a new work. The reality is that it works much, much more similarly to a human artist who develops his or her own style from all the work traced, copied, studied over their professional career. Just incredibly fast. Ergo, it's not theft, because it's transformative. Otherwise any human artist could be considered a thief. Artists believe they 'own' specific styles, but this is wholly untrue. Art is not a 'celebration of humanity',.

Art is supposed to be this thing that only humans can ever do. Digital Artists have deluded themselves into the corner of "If you cannot create art, you aren't worth calling human!" over the years, since the idea that their trade was untouchable was constantly touted whenever automation reared its head towards a new sector. "Oh, poor little tailors, but don't worry, art will never be touchable!" and other such crap tended to be on the mind whenever someone else got replaced. It was a delicious, safe delusion that allowed artists to make themselves out to be the ultimate example of what a human should be. Especially when commissions got people without that talent to start flocking to them in droves. Suddenly, its no longer just a case of "I can do cool things", but "The people come to me to make cool things for them, because they can't do it themselves." You could decry, you could gatekeep, you could look down on other artists you thought were inferior, and very few would bother to stop
